An Introduction to the Diversity of Tea

Join us for a two-hour guided tea tasting exploring four different expressions of Camellia sinensis: white, green, oolong and black tea.

Through four carefully selected pure teas. Pai Mu Tan, Japan Sencha, Chinese Green tea with Jasmin flowers and Schwarzer Darjeeling. We will discover how one plant can produce remarkably different teas depending on its origin, processing and preparation.

During the workshop, we will explore:

• The main categories of tea
• How processing and oxidation transform the tea leaf
• The distinctive aromas and flavours of each tea
• Basic principles of tea preparation and tasting

No previous knowledge of tea is required. The workshop is designed as an accessible and sensory introduction for anyone curious to discover tea

Leitung: Mirna Screpante is a tea expert and tea educator with a particular passion for the cultural, sensory and historical dimensions of tea. She has explored tea traditions across different cultures and has organised and hosted tea tastings and workshops.
